Welcome to our June 2010 eNewsletter!

We hope that everyone has enjoyed their summer so far.  It's hard to believe that we are starting July!  With all of the outdoor events going on we want to remind everyone to be careful, wear sunscreen(this includes lip balm with SPF), use protective equipment when necessary, and most importantly, protect your Smile!!!

What are we up to?
 

New to our office:  Refer for Rewards Program!  If you are  an Existing Patient, just refer family/friends to our office with our new "Friends and Family Referral Card" for a Comprehensive Exam and Cleaning.  Your name and your family/friends name will then be entered into our quarterly drawing for a prize.  The prize thru August is a Lahody's Meat Market Basket!!!

Celebrating 10 years!  Mindy Baird, our Office Coordinator, celebrated her 10 year anniversary as a part of Dr. Wilhoite's team on June 12, 2010.  In that 10 years Mindy has attended hundreds of hours of Continuing Education courses concentrating on insurance benefits to ensure our patients get the best from their insurance.  She is Executive Director of East Central Dental Society and networks with other dental and medical offices.  She was an integel part of incorportating computers and software into our office and continues with computer support for the team.  Mindy also runs our website page, creates this newsletter, organizes both Dr. Wilhoite and the team, and plans team meetings and parties.In her personal life over the last 10 years, we have watched Mindy's family grow.  She can be found at either her daughter's gymnastics events or one of her son's sporting events.  She loves tanning poolside and hanging out with her friends and their families. Dr. Wilhoite and the entire team would like to thank Mindy for the last 10 years!

2 Days, 180 miles, Boston Harbor to Provincetown!!!   June 26-27th, Dr. Wilhoite and 2,000 other riders biked the 26th Bike MS Cape Cod Getaway.  Over $2 million dollars was raised during this fundraising ride.  This ride is the largest MS ride in New England.  The riders pedaled from Quincy, Massachusetts through the coastal towns of Massachusetts' South Shore to the beginning of Cape Cod.  Great job Dr. Wilhoite!

Competitive swimmers may be at risk for developing yellowish-brown or dark-brown stains on their teeth, reports the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), an organization of general dentists dedicated to continuing dental education.
